NDT Inspections

Sonomatic are members of the Industrial Rope Access Training Association (IRATA) and as such can offer both conventional and advanced NDT techniques utilising the company’s experienced and professional inspection personnel who are all IRATA certified. Sonomatic can offer alternative inspection methods that may include long range or remote inspection methods. The company’s NDT provide UT, Eddy Current, MPI and Dye-Pen via our Rope Access and Inspection Services (RAIS) Division and also provide Radiographers & Heat Treatment Technicians at the brand new state of the art facility, as well as providing the service off-shore. The RAIS Division is fully supported by Sonomatic Innovative Inspection Technologies.

Sonomatic’s new site offers radiography bays, pressure test bays & heat treatment. In addition to the conventional NDT methods, the new state of the art facility also houses the engineering, integrity management, topside, subsea and rope access divisions. The facility allows Sonomatic to service integrity and inspection contracts on behalf of the operators. All divisions are supported by the company’s highly innovative in-house research and development team.

The Core is located approximately 4 miles from Aberdeen Harbour, just one mile from the AECC. The location has been very carefully selected with consideration given to client’s logistical needs as they endeavour to meet critical turnaround times. In addition to serving clients in Aberdeen, Sonomatic are hoping to meet clients requirements from all over Scotland by taking full advantage of the A90 and the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route (AWPR.)
