Inspection of Flange faces

Flange face corrosion is a potential threat to the integrity of pressure vessels and pipework. Inspection of flange faces plays an important role in assuring the integrity of pressure equipment. Sonomatic provides a range of techniques for flange face corrosion.

Sonomatic’s techniques include proven Angle Shear Wave and Phased Array methods for standard geometries and configurations. Sonomatic also develops and qualifies approaches for new flange geometries. The qualification approach is based on CIVA ultrasonic modelling and test piece validation.

Flange face corrosion inspection can be provided as part of Sonomatic’s comprehensive NII capability or on a case by case basis to validate the condition of a specific flange face.
