Bends are often have higher susceptibility to degradation than straight pipe sections but they present a more difficult challenge for corrosion mapping due to their geometry. Scanners that have a straight raster arm are unable to successfully inspect bends and special solutions are necessary. Sonomatic offers a number of different options for corrosion mapping on bends.
